The Astrid

The Astrid, one of EQT Exeter’s latest ‘Meds & Eds’ focused multifamily projects, is a premier apartment community in Bethesda, MD, located just 5 minutes from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Walter Reed Medical Center. After approximately two years of construction, we welcomed our first residents at the end of 2023 and achieved substantial completion of the community in February 2024.

The community consists of 562 Class-A apartments in two architecturally stylized 11-story buildings. In a nod to EQT’s Swedish heritage, The Astrid is designed with Scandinavian influences and features floor-to-ceiling windows and indoor-outdoor harmony, embodying the comfort, warmth, and simplicity captured by the Danish concept of ‘Hygge’.

The property totals 414,670 square feet of net rentable area and includes over 20,000 square feet of amenities, such as a gym, yoga studio, co-working spaces, rooftop terraces, and outdoor areas with a fire pit, playground, and more.
