David O’Brien joins EQT Exeter to expand living strategies in Germany

EQT Exeter is pleased to announce the appointment of David O’Brien as Investment & Development Director – Living Strategies, Germany as of 1 May 2024. Based in Berlin, David will help expand EQT Exeter’s living strategies alongside Nicolas Voller, Investment & Development Director, with a focus on both residential and student housing communities. He will be involved in efforts including fundraising, acquisitions, development, operations, and portfolio management.

David joins from Heimstaden, a pan-European residential real estate company, where he headed the German investment team. He has invested over €10 billion throughout his 15 years in the residential real estate sector, having held senior positions in acquisition and management for Round Hill Capital and QSix.

Over the past decade, EQT Exeter has established itself as a significant player in the German real estate market. The firm’s approach combines deep local insights with international investment standards, targeting opportunities that promise financial returns while also benefiting communities.
